Community guidelines
Last updated: October 25, 2026
ÓraleTrip is for planning trips with people you travel with: family, friends, and sometimes new travel companions you find with an open trip. These guidelines apply in Órale-Chat!, on open trip pages, in requests to join and on your traveler profile. They go together with our terms of service.
Be kind and honest
- Treat everyone with respect. No harassment, threats, hate or bullying, and nothing sexual sent to people who didn't ask for it.
- Be who you say you are. Use your real first name, and describe your trip and yourself honestly.
- Respect people's privacy. Don't share someone's photos, documents, address or plans outside the trip without asking.
Open trips and requests to join
- Open a trip only to find travel companions for a real trip you're planning. No ads, tours you're selling, recruiting or events that aren't trips.
- Say clearly what the trip is: where, when, the kind of trip, and roughly what it costs if you know.
- Keep requests short and friendly. No links, email addresses or phone numbers: once you're approved, you'll talk to the crew in Órale-Chat!.
- A “no” is an answer. Don't ask again with another account or contact the organizer some other way.
Money
- Pay for your own bookings whenever you can. Never send money to someone you haven't met, and never ask strangers for money or for your card or bank details.
- Use Expenses to keep track of who paid what, and settle up in person or with a payment method you trust.
Travel safely
- Meet in a public place, or have a video call, before you travel with someone you don't know.
- Tell a friend or family member who you're traveling with and share your plans.
- Keep your passport, money and phone with you.
- Trust your instincts. You can leave a trip's crew at any time, and the organizer can remove people.
- In an emergency, call the local emergency number first.
Not allowed
- Anything illegal, including selling drugs, weapons or people's personal information.
- Spam, scams, fake accounts, or using ÓraleTrip to sell or advertise.
- Content that sexualizes minors. We report it to the authorities.
- Encouraging violence or self-harm.
Report and block
In Órale-Chat!, hold a message and tap Report or Block. On a person in the crew, or on an open trip's page, use Report. People you block can't see that you blocked them; their messages disappear for you and they can't ask to join your open trips. Our team reads every report. We may remove content, close open trips, and limit or close accounts that break these guidelines. You can also write to [email protected].
